Designing Each Handmade Leather Shoe Based on Foot Shape
Designing Each Handmade Leather Shoe Based on Foot Shape
In our workshop, every pair of handmade leather shoes is designed according to the shape and real needs of the foot. We believe that a good shoe is not only beautiful, but must also align with the body’s structure to ensure comfort and foot health.
Understanding Different Foot Shapes
Every person has a unique foot shape and arch type. Generally, there are three main types:
- Flat feet – require more support in the midsole area
- Normal arch – with a natural balance between arch and pressure distribution
- High arch – need softer, more cushioned insoles at the heel and forefoot
During the shoe last design process, these differences are carefully studied to ensure proper weight distribution across the foot.
Considering Foot Width and Instep Height
Foot width and instep height are crucial details in designing comfortable and orthopedic shoes. Our lasts are adjusted according to these features so that the foot feels free yet stable inside the shoe.
Choosing the Right Materials
Each type of handmade leather shoe is designed with its purpose in mind — whether for daily wear, formal occasions, or walking. Each requires specific soles, leathers, and heels. Using genuine leather not only enhances beauty but also allows better breathability and durability.
Testing and Final Adjustments
After the prototype is made, the shoe is tested on the foot. This stage allows us to make precise adjustments to the last and stitching, ensuring the final product is completely comfortable, durable, and perfectly matched to the foot’s form.
In our workshop, we believe that every foot is unique. That’s why each shoe design is crafted with love and care for different foot shapes — so you can experience true beauty, quality, and comfort all at once.
